Our Mission

Abilities Network's Project ACT program serves the early childhood community in Baltimore, Harford and Cecil Counties as a member of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, and provides specialized training to early childhood professionals statewide.

Pathways to Growth and Success

Families

Project ACT supports families by helping them locate child care and access child care scholarships. We offer workshops on topics related to raising young children, and collaborate with families to develop strategies to support social, emotional and behavioral development.

Early Childhood Professionals

Project ACT offers free coaching and mentoring to early childhood professionals. We support programs with lesson planning, challenging behaviors, classroom set up, visual supports, business practices, and more. Project ACT can provide mental health and behavior consultation for individual children. Support for starting a child care program is provided to those interested in owning their own business.

Professional Development

Project ACT has a robust catalog of licensed trainings on a wide variety of topics for early childhood professionals. Professional development is delivered in a variety of ways, including virtual and in-person events. Specialized training is offered statewide with a focus on emergency preparedness and inclusion of young children with disabilities. We offer discounted pricing through grants, partnerships with other organizations, and our Unlimited Training Pass. Project ACT hosts an annual conference with a focus on the interests of the child care community.
